oh sweet I'm on IronDude right now, inv porfavor
YAY! Another update post!
This time, on my perma beginner
Gotta say, that going in, I didn't expect to like it as much as I do now. Most of my guildies know it, but I'm a pretty big fan of questing (I did quest specialist 3 times on ironman already, even tho I honestly didn't need the medal), but due to how many quests there are in the game at this point, and how easy some of these quests are, quest specialist is no longer a "challenge" to me. Then comes beginner, that made all the quests in the game ACTUALLY difficult! Having no access to HP, mutli target skills, decent and stable damage, and natural accuracy, makes each quest feel like a mini bossfight in a sense.
Last time I was updating you guys, was around the time i reached lvl 30.
A lot has happened since then:
I've basically grinded quests 100% of the time, I even went out of the way to do tough quests i have no right to be able to beat as a beginner
For example, I did the quest Mariwaka of Performer Training, which is a quest that can only be started at lvl 40 EXACTLY. That questline also has a followup quest that you cannot start if you are not at lvl 40, so to do both quests, you must AT LEAST beat the first quest at exactly lvl 40. Easier said than done when the mobs in question are leader A, and leader B, which are lvl 62 and 64 respectively. To beat them, I had to farm maple pops ahead of lvl 40 (can't farm at lvl 40 or i might risk overlvling).
So my lvl 37~40 looked something like this:
Just for one quest count for the quest specialist. I'm a very tanatious person when it comes to questing
I also did crazy long quests like the mateon tentacle questline, the cursed doll questline (4/5 quests, im still farming the last 1k etcs...), and the entire bonehelm quest. And for maya's stupid questline I even went as far as swimming to the painus map to get kills on Flyeyes, which required swimming to that map through lvl 90+ mobs and not getting hit once.
While grinding quests early game, i also voted a bit, and got out a few gacha runs, thankfully, the mop wasn't too shy, and showed itself on the second gacha 35 tix run:
Spoiler: Maroon 5 mops [I wish]
With the leftover tickets i also managed to get mouse kit from CBD gacha (10 acc), which really helped me out.
In the recent events I managed to get a lot of key items for my beginner that will probably carry me to the endgame: Pilrgim hat, zombie and pie rings, shiny nose, and fur lump cape. Each of them giving me some key stats like hp and accuracy
And that brings us to today:
Beginners might not have job advances, but lvl 70 is as close as we can get to the feeling of a job advance. In level 70 beginners get both access to mounts, and access to the HP quest.
So the first thing i did was rushing to get myself a hog
Spoiler: I got a new friend for my jounrey!
And of course, the crazyhead that I am, I was already prepared with all the materials for the hp quest:
My boi is THICC now!
And, as a final note, my initial goal with the beginner was to finish quest specialist, here's where i stand as of right now:
The last stretch is the hardest, but I'm sure i can do it!
I want to join the guild or discord, I have a character called Iron2020
My goal is no vote, get nx from farming field bosses only, no buying equip from shops, farming drops best in slot and scrolls only. won't hp wash just farm blue equips.
I'd like to join the challenge as well
Made to level 30 and advanced to bandit, only ever went to shops for recharge, bought no pot, all pots are from drops or quest reward.
helm - bamboo hat from mayas quest
goshu shoe - Dr. Betti long walk is good for u quest
weapon - lvl 10 untradable from first job advancement
glove - from quest cannot remember which one though
earring drop from cactus, top dropped from a mushroom and bottoms is from a mask mob from perion
dropped a throwing star - wood top
zombie mushroom dropped a lvl 35 claw for me, unless I found a dagger, its going to be throwing star all the way.
Now that I am 30, I can trade in dinner soon I shall have pet!!!!!
Good thing you started your ironman run in an event that regularly rewards NX. It should cover your nx related needs until you are strong enough to hunt area bosses
Hey everyone, very long time since I last post but I've more or less been around the whole time.
I have been working on a new character over the last year and a half. This journey began around the end of May 2019 and today (December 21, 2020) marks a very special achievement, today I hit level 93 which ordinarily wouldn't be very significant but with it I also hit 30k HP. It's been a long journey that's taken who knows how many ap resets. I did 35 gacha tickets I bought at level 50 and not a drop of nx has gone anywhere except AP resets since. Honestly it was nice not touching gacha for so long, it's not a fun mechanic. Anyway here are some screenshots of the achievement.
I had 80 mp since a very very early level. This character was REAL slow moving, and it wasn't until around the 80s I really felt capable. I messed up my math and couldn't get first job advance until level 11. Then due to being so weak from the int and since I was just doing quests/card collecting at those levels I didn't 2nd job advance until level 35 (June 4, 2019). And then even at 3rd job I was behind, I didn't end up getting that job advance until level 72 (December 26, 2019). I think I'll finally be able to job advance at the normal level for 4th job and I can't wait to reach it. I just got my 1.5x coupon today so I'm hoping that'll help get to 120.
Small update here, today I've hit a little milestone on my bucc:
After I finished my knuckler, and with the help of scrolled red noses, I was able to do shaolin runs pretty much daily. That together with the recent 1.5x exp ticket, the incredible amount of gelts im making in this event, and my revived interest in my bucc due to the sudden access to shaolin solos, caused me to play him A LOT MORE THAN I USED TO
I've hunted BFs like no tomorrow, I did my daily paps and shaolins, and I even started doing daily HP quests again.
Because my new goal for my bucc has been decided
Idk if it would be doable, I'll have to do some test runs, but I think my new goal for my bucc is killing THE BOSS
Stuff I need to get done before the run:
> Get to around 18k hp so I can survive anego slaps, and actually go hunt her in a comfortable manner
> Farm enough of anego's etc items to do test runs
> Farm a buttload of stoppers and maple pops
> Go for the kill
After asking around on the mechanics of this bossfight, I realized that soloing the boss with my bucc is 100% impossible due to bodyguard's relentless stuns and 27k damage hits...
But I'm still gonna try to kill anego!
Still unsure whether to go I/L or F/P but seems fun so far. Planning out my route and what equips to use.
ETA: Found a Pan lid and Maple Lama Staff.

Hello I'd like to join this challenge, my IGN is TavasHridaya
My second zakum solo. Terrible helm for a warrior but i'll make it work for the time being. Zerk 20, Blizz 20, TT10, and Air Strike 20 were my book drops, and yes I missed a helm behind the rocks. Overall I'm very pleased with this run, being just under 2 hours long.
