What is the statue of limitations for being banned?

I see some people got banned for crimes 2-5 years ago.

Also was bored and went through quite a long list of ban appeals and found some scary people out there. All the bans are a legitimate punishment because they broke the simple rules that need to be followed. No RWT and no hacking in any form is tolerated.

However what is scary is the people who go out of the way to set up their victims. They sell game currency for real world money. Then they document everything and end up turning in their customer after benefiting from them. Man that is some real sociopath stuff LOL. Also the people go out of there way to edit and fabricate evidence to report someone out of petty. Man who hurt yall that badly that you are on here in Royals out to get people. That is a lot of effort and time your putting in to try to ruin another individuals virtual life. I can't imagine what yall do in the real world. Just love your self and surround your selves with positive people. There is more to live for out there!

If you are a player in California and you are personally injured, the statute of limitations is two years!

Okay, jokes aside, there is no statute of limitations for banning someone. Break the rules? Face the consequences.

I find it funny you think someone would be “set up” if they RWT and their seller reports them. They broke the rules and they entirely deserve their ban. I feel no sympathy whatsoever for rule breakers, especially RWTers. No one accidentally RWTs lol.

I don't think you read correctly. I am not defending any RTC player nor the RTC seller anywhere in my post.

My question is what do you think of the person that sells RTC to a player and reports them. What kind of person or mind do you have to be to sell and than report. Go through all the trouble to report the person that they gained from. Pretty petty.

How is it funny that I think "set up." That is a set up LOL. The person sold RTC to the his victim with intentions of getting the player banned after milking them.

People who are banned for being “set up” deserve it. I think RWT sellers who turn around and ban their buyers are scum, sure. But both RWT sellers and buyers are scum to begin with. I feel zero sympathy for buyers who are betrayed. Cool if they are reported. Makes my hobby of hunting and banning RWTers much easier. Good riddance.

Why are you upset over RWTers getting backstabbed (rightfully so to RWT in the first place) rather than being upset over the people who exploit the ban system and report people who say the N word to their friend in all chat? They certainly don’t deserve to be banned in my eyes, unlike RWTers.

I am not upset that a RWT player got back stabbed. I am just disgusted by the scum out their in this world.

Your right about that lol, I am pretty tilted that someone would report me for saying "N _ _ _ a" when its in a game and not even directed towards them.

Yea I don't have any sympathy for people who RWT. I wouldn't be surprised if there were GMs out there that set people up (not in Royals, but I've personally seen it in WoW Private servers as a former GM on myself, I didn't but there was plenty of chat about pretending to sell gold/accounts to chain ban illegitimate players).

But, yea, no sympathy. It's not a hard rule to follow and it's super common sense.

The only scenario I can recall of a RWT seller reporting the buyer is when the buyer chargeback on the RWT seller

    Example

this calls for justice reform! who will step up to be the kim kardashian west that unpardoned royals convicts so desperately need ? find out on the next episode of bans and scary people hosted by an ex-convict found guilty of misdemeanour, the man himself in quarantine, spokesperson dustinlee0

rwters who turn their customers in after getting paid are doing god's work by keeping the game clean even before their departure. it is very wise and admirable of them to be giving back to the server by entrapping other rwters and teaching them valuable lessons ensuring that such a mistake must never be made again. i aspire to be as revolutionary and thoughtful as them but i am too lazy

sarcasm so please loyal royals advocates don't come for me

in all seriousness, how does one get "set up" for a trade that both parties consent to and proceed with? how can they paint themselves as victims and try to seek sympathy when they're the ones who were risking getting themselves screwed over from beginning to end? they're just salty that it didn't work out like they wanted and calling it a "set up" is a sad attempt to mask their own greed by shifting the blame. have you ever pitied a scammer who got scammed by another scammer?

it's also not on the tos just to point out the consequences. it's on there to protect people's dumbass

Yea I got your message right from the start, it mind boggles me as well that there are people out there first profiting from another person and then stabbing them in the back. Like wtf, what's up with their morals?

Ofcourse this is a separated single opinion from the fact that both people in such a case are wrong and should be punished by Royals

It appears not many of you are old enough to get the point. At no point is there any mention of the word sympathy or any defending of a violator.

Both parties are not scammers. They both broke the rule but neither of them are scammers. Someone made money in the game and sold it. The other made real money and used it to buy a product. The transaction are agreed by both parties. For one party to report another is a "set-up" since they intentionally threw in the evidence to undermine the other. The person that reports the other gains nothing but the satisfaction of ruining the other after after gaining from them. Both parties took equal risks and were in a mutual agreed transaction that benefited them equally. Basically you either like get a high from other peoples down falls or you have a narcissistic sense of justice and became a vigilante. I understand that we all want to be batman and green arrow, but some people are just sociopaths.

If it was a GM posing as a RWT seller that is a different story. It is there job to moderate the game just like the police go undercover to catch criminals. Please this is common sense.

The word "set up" really concerns you guys doesn't it. No man, and "I didn't personally witness a set-up." I read where a RWT sellers reports a buyer after selling to them and though it was messed up. I am not here to defend or be a lawyer for the violators to send you "links of those ban appeals and elaborate."

Its simple matter of why do people like to screw others over for fun.

    You guys win~

I don't think anyone disagrees that it's sort of wrong, but usually the cases of set ups are more like the buyer tried to to screw up the seller(by refunding or not paying full amount) which in return the seller got them banned.
People are asking for links because it doesn't make much sense for the seller to screw up their buyers for no reason. So yea, people got stuck on the "set up" because that's not what really happens behind the scenes.

I've read about 90% of the ban appeals in my 4 years on the forum and I can't recall a case where the seller got their buyer banned for fun.
If you could link any of those, just out of interest, I would love to read the ban appeals.

I'm not interrogating you based on specific terms you used. I'm genuinely curious to see such a case because almost all the cases I have witnessed are caused by buyers scamming their sellers via charge-back, as mentioned before in this thread, which I'd find as a fair trade between two criminals.
