So I need some explanation to applied damage (pots) as I have encountered something strange that has annoyed me haha, is it a bug or not? If not then whats the reason for it?

So below I have linked some screenshots of what im talking about. My damage range clean is 2294-4148. When I use a Warrior Potion it goes up to 2531-4577, which is correct. Then when my ability is charged up it gives me a power boost also which makes my attack go up to 2689-4863 (with charge and potion). Now here is what I find weird, when my attack potion runs out, my attack range stays at 2689-4863 (just with the charge). So why do I not gain any benefit from using an attack potion? Is there any point of using potions? Is this a bug?

If anyone has any info about this, please post because I don't understand why its doing this. Thanks :)

I've been wondering about this too! it's a common problem regarding marauders around here, and not knowing about what's going on with energy charge and attack potions have been stopping me from leveling up my old bucc.

Charge gives 20 att at max lv and warrior elixir gives only 12.
So charge will overwrite the potion...
Theres no need to use att potions on bucc. Unless it is above 20 att...

I guess this means a buccaneer should just use energizers and above attack potions.

my question now is: is energy charge worth it at all? because I don't mind constantly using warrior elixirs / pineapple chews on my overall training. +20 accuracy and +20 avoidability are good perks, but not necessary at all. keeping in mind energy charge's max. level is lv.40, seems kind of useless to use up all those skill points on that little boost.

any advice on what to do?

Doesn't energy charge also give a 30% stance effect when charged up?

Well, you will not have skill points to put on everything, but shok wave for example, is only good till 120 or so, after that u will have dragonstrike and will only use transform to use demolition....
As for Main DPS before 120 u will have to use Energy Drain, because it is really really fast cast (without transform) and having max charge will give you an increase duration of it, and of course stance effect.

It says in the description for charge: "When the energy is fully charged, this will automatically trigger the effects of the Body Attack and Stance" though there is no % on what the stance is.

And in regards to Energy Drain I personally disagree. Even though it is faster and is recommended, I went with Shockwave over Energy Drain because I liked the mobbing potential with it + at higher levels you will have Pots so the heal doesn't matter, but in the end its personal choice

    Energy Charge (more info)
Whenever you attack, a certain amount of energy is charged. When full, the Body Attack effect and Stance effect are automatically activated, and you can use energy-consuming skills. (Quote Shikage) Energy Charge has a master level of 40, so it may take a while to max this one out. This skill gives you a percent chance of not being knocked back, similar to a 4th job warrior’s Power Stance, +20 weapon attack, +200% Power Guard-type damage, and +20 accuracy and avoid ability.

long story short, max. energy charge is a must then.

what about energy drain vs. energy blast vs. shockwave? what would be better overall?

Hmm not really sure, but I dont use shockwave, because im at lv150 and only use demolition on tranformation, and for mobbing I use Dragonstrike.
Energy blast I still use for Macro Barrage+Dragonstrike+energyblast combo
